Online teaching means the courses and lectures that are delivered completely online. As we all know Coronavirus is continuously spread all over the world. Due to Covid-19 all the schools, colleges, and other educational institutes are closed. To avoid the study loss of students Teachers faced some challenges like how to continue their student education. Some teachers do not know about online teaching. The main problem is there is not enough time to do the training that a teacher needs to understand how to teach online.  

Do for Online Teaching and Learning:

The equipment’s used for online teaching and learning:

• Check the availability of computers: Laptop, desktop, a tablet is a must for students and teachers because a functioning computer will allow you to attend classes in a good way.
• Good internet connection: Internet connection is a must for attending online courses. You can directly communicate with your teacher, group discussion with other students. If you have a high speed of internet connection, you can also solve quizzes and practice other online available tests to check your performance. If your internet connection is low you can get ethernet cable otherwise there are many other available options such as coffee shops, a computer lab where you have access to the internet without connection issues.
• The videoconferencing software: Some websites have their videoconference system for online tutoring platform in which you attend the lectures on the internet via video, chat, text editor, share screen option so no separate software is needed. but in some cases, videoconference software is mandatory. You have many options like you can use free one such a skype, google hangouts, etc. which help you to use chat and videoconference easily.
• Microphone: if you want to have a good and clear conversation with your teacher. A Microphone is mandatory because it helps you to clear your doubts.
• Webcam: A webcam is not necessary for online courses, but it is highly suggested because it allows a better monitor between students and teachers to show things physically present not only digitally and they can recognize and appreciate each other better.

Online Training for Teachers

There are many online courses available for online teacher training. if the teacher never taught an online class before then you need to know how to teach online.

·        Read online education blogs

·        Study the software which you are going to use for teaching

·        Consider the online teaching course

·        Teachers can attend online conferences in which you can learn a lot about online teaching skills.

·        Teachers can communicate with other online teaching groups via social media to share their resources

·        Watch teacher training videos.

 Online Learning:

·        Keep with your learning: Sit in a comfortable location. It is a good idea to take proper notes while attending lectures.

·        Take some time to understand the lectures and seminars online and if you have confusion you can ask questions.

·        There are many online tools like skype that you can download free for group chat, coordinate video chat with your course mates or group of people. You can also discuss your idea and study tips.so this is a very good way to keep in touch with other students in a class and help to maintain social contacts. 

·        Always stay in touch with your tutors and lecturers because if you have any query or confusion regarding your course material you can directly email to your instructor so that you can clear your doubts

·        Do not hesitate to contact and ask questions from your teacher. Be patient for some time because maybe your teacher is busy Preparing your lecturer so give some time to feedback to you.

·        Take regular breaks because it keeps your mind fresh.

Online Teaching:

·        Tell rules and regulation for online teaching to students

·        Make sure the equipment used by the student is accessible and working properly

·        Prepare all the lecture notes before delivering the lecture

·        The Online lecture should be smaller and to the point than in the live classroom

·        Conduct group discussions after every lecture.

·        Prepare lecture notes, with links to related resources on a web page for the students to download, distribute through the bookstore, send via email.

·        Every student has an opportunity to ask questions and clear their doubts and communicate their ideas while practicing logical and reasoning skills.

·        There are many online tools that you can use for group discussions like skype, video conferencing, social networking sites, etc.

·        Motivate your students 

·        Take mock test and Quizzes for improving the performance of students

·        Communicate regularly with students.

·        After results give proper feedback to your students so that they can improve their performance 

·        Tell the student that you will reply by email within a specified time, usually between 24 hours

·        Provide proper feedback to students for individual or group assignments because students do not as know whether they are doing a good job or not.

 

Do not for Online Teaching and Learning:

·        Do not give the tough or out of syllabus assignment to the students

·        Do not try to use tough language while delivering the lecture

·        Do not forget to reply to the students

·        Do not attack personally on other students.

·        Do not ignore the question and doubts of the student Try to clear their doubts as soon as possible

·        Do not give negative comments on discussion with students.

·        Requesting for constructive, not disappointing, study of current results.
